Fraser Eye Care Center in Fraser, MI is seeking a friendly Front Desk Receptionist to be the first point of contact for patients. You will greet visitors, register patients, verify insurance, answer high-volume calls, and schedule appointments to ensure a smooth check-in experience.

This role requires accurate payments, daily balance, and strict patient confidentiality while collaborating with medical staff to deliver efficient, compassionate care across Fraser Eye Care locations.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; medical office training a plus.
1–2 years in medical office or healthcare setting preferred.
Proficiency with EMR, scheduling software, and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

Greet patients and visitors with a warm, welcoming demeanor.
Register new patients and update patient information in the practice management system.
Verify patient insurance information.
Answer high-volume calls, triage, route calls, schedule appointments, and take messages.
Contact patients to remind them of upcoming appointments.
Process patient payments and provide receipts; balance daily receipts.
Manage incoming referrals and requests for medical records.
Run daily/weekly reports and maintain a clean front desk area.
Ensure patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
Assist patients with inquiries, forms, and administrative support.
Collaborate with medical staff to ensure a seamless patient experience.
