Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System is seeking a Patient Service Representative to join SAMG Clerical Float Pool Team. You will check in patients, collect co-pays, answer calls, schedule appointments, verify insurance, and use the EPIC system to update patient information.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience required.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Electronic health record (EHR) experience a plus.
• Medical terminology preferred.
• Experience with process improvement or lean philosophy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check in patients for appointments and collect patient co-pays.
• Answer telephones, take accurate messages, schedule appointments, and verify insurance eligibility.
• Update required information in the EPIC electronic medical record system.
