Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience in patient registration/healthcare preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to schedule appointments and use registration systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact between patients and physician practices.
• Greet patients and provide excellent customer service.
• Answer calls, route, schedule patients, and enter information for scheduling.
• Process patients at check-in and verify demographic and insurance information.
• Troubleshoot issues, maintain patient flow, and inform supervisor of concerns.
• Process admission paperwork and insurance verification; correct errors.
• Record lobby wait times and manage patient payments.
• Reconcile cash drawer daily and perform charge entry for external services.
• Schedule referrals and follow-ups; assist with MyChart and online scheduling.
• Obtain referrals and authorizations when required for procedures.
• Pull, file, and route patient charts per policy.
