Carolina Eyecare Physicians in Charleston, SC, is hiring a Patient Care Representative to be the friendly first and last contact for patients. The role emphasizes patient service, accurate check-in/out, and efficient handling of appointments in a busy ophthalmology/optometry setting.

The position requires a high school diploma, experience with Microsoft Office, and prior customer service experience. Associate’s degree is preferred and travel to other locations may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products.
• Prior experience in a customer service role.
• Must be able to work under pressure and respond to patient requests in a positive manner.
• Associate’s degree (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct all patients, visitors, and staff upon entry.
• Verify information and provide helpful answers during check-in.
• Print daily appointment schedules.
• Assist walk-in patients with scheduling inquiries and pickups.
• Disseminate information via phone or computer systems.
• Update charts and schedules for the next day.
• Maintain organized, clean workspace.
• Complete appointment confirmation calls.
• Collect co-payments and balances at check-out.
• Complete essential reports and forms.
• Handle additional administrative duties as needed.
