Job summary

Boston Children’s Hospital is seeking a per diem Patient Experience representative to deliver administrative support to the Cardiac ICU. The role focuses on coordinating services for patients and families while driving continuous process improvements and delivering excellent customer service.

The position involves night shifts Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 11 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., with responsibilities spanning patient encounter management and routine clerical duties to support unit

Qualifications

• Prior customer service or administrative experience preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication with empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.
• Ability to work with diverse internal and external constituencies.

Responsibilities

• Patient Encounter Management: Providing positive and effective customer service that supports unit operations.
• Collaborating with referring providers and practices.
• Obtaining required authorizations to compile patient and staff schedules.
• Scheduling patients and supporting patients encounter.
• Recording and forwarding messages, triaging calls for urgent information or services, initiating call for emergency services.
• Processing admissions/discharges.
• Providing routine clerical support as needed.
