Job summary

Boston Children’s Hospital is seeking a part-time Patient Experience representative to provide essential administrative support for the Cardiac ICU. The role focuses on coordinating services to patients and families and contributing to continuous process improvement.

The position includes scheduling patients, triaging calls, and ensuring positive customer service that underpins hospital operations. A flexible schedule includes alternate weekends and holidays, with a strong emphasis on teamwork

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a high school level of education; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; demonstrate empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.
• Experience in customer service or administrative roles is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive and effective customer service to support unit operations.
• Coordinate patient encounters and scheduling; collaborate with referring providers and practices.
• Obtain required authorizations to compile patient and staff schedules; triage calls; forward messages.
• Process admissions/discharges and provide routine clerical support as needed.
