Job summary

Valley Health is seeking a Patient Service Representative to be the first line of patient contact within the physicians’ network. The role emphasizes exceptional customer service, accurate scheduling, and data collection to ensure smooth clinic operations.

You will handle appointment scheduling, check in/out, insurance verification, payments, and phone communications, using Epic. Strong communication, confidentiality, and multitasking are essential as you support the ambulatory care team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
• 1 year of relevant work experience required; associate's degree may substitute.
• Customer service experience preferred; strong computer, communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule outpatient appointments and coordinate provider availability.
• Greet patients warmly and manage front desk inquiries.
• Collect demographic and financial information for registrations.
• Process payments and balance cash drawer daily.
• Answer phones within three rings with a three-part greeting.
• Send appointment reminders and communicate delays to patients.
• Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality.
• Cover other office locations as needed.
