Allergy Partners is seeking a Patient Service Representative to join our team in Mount Pleasant, SC. You will register patients, answer calls, schedule visits, collect payments, and post charges daily, ensuring accuracy and patient financial clarity.

The role requires at least two years in a medical office or customer service setting, strong communication, and familiarity with scheduling and EMR systems. HIPAA-compliant operations and teamwork are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in a medical office or customer service position.
• Experience collecting payments and balancing cash drawers.
• Familiarity with managed care terminology and practices.
• Scheduling and appointment management experience.
• Proficient with email, word processing, and internet applications.
• Knowledge of practice management and electronic health records; GE Centricity a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bi-lingual is a plus, not required.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephone in a professional, pleasant manner and schedule appointments.
• Screen visitors and respond to routine information requests from patients/vendors.
• Maintain front office supplies and equipment; route faxes and mail.
• Verify demographics and insurance information; post charges and payments.
• Collect payments at visit and arrange payment plans per policy.
• Ensure accurate posting of charges and reconcile daily transactions.
