AEG Vision is seeking a Part-time Patient Care Coordinator on-site in Livonia, MI. You will manage front desk operations, patient flow, and coordination with the care team to ensure a smooth visit experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to learn EMR.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong verbal and written communication with a patient-centered approach.
• Strong collaboration across teams and maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, customers, and vendors; serve as primary contact for patient interactions.
• Answer calls, respond to inquiries, and manage emails professionally.
• Schedule patient appointments and optimize provider schedules including cancellations and reschedules.
• Confirm appointments and remind patients to reduce no-shows.
• Verify insurance eligibility and enter patient demographics in EMR accurately.
• Explain coverage and patient financial responsibility; manage charges and payments in EMR.
• Prepare charts and documentation ahead of visits to support flow.
• Run reports to ensure billing is up to date and accurate.
• Monitor daily flow and adjust schedules to minimize bottlenecks.
• Communicate wait times and next steps to patients to maintain a positive experience.
• Coordinate with clinical teams to ensure smooth transitions during visits.
• Support recall and reactivation outreach for follow-up visits.
• Maintain an organized, clean front office environment.
