Job summary

Macomb Oakland Obstetrics PC in Michigan is seeking a Patient Service Representative to join our Customer Service team. In this role you will handle patient inquiries, schedule visits, and manage check-ins and check-outs with professionalism.

Key responsibilities include answering calls, coordinating appointments, collecting insurance information, processing documents, and supporting other locations as needed while maintaining accuracy and a patient-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience required.
• Proficiency in phone support and scheduling.
• Familiarity with medical records handling.

Responsibilities

• Answering patient and family member questions, meeting customer requests
• Greeting all patients upon check-in and through check out process
• Answering phone calls, scheduling return visits and/or rescheduling appointments as necessary
• Scheduling in-office and hospital procedures
• Sorting, scanning and faxing and mailing documents as needed
• Supporting FMLA, Disability, Medical Records, Scheduling efforts
• Obtaining and verifying Insurance information, including proper authorizations as needed
• Charging and posting records/paperwork processing, including handling fees
• Medical records retrieval as necessary
• Charging and posting appropriate record fees
• Assisting fellow team members and supporting other locations as needed
• Ensure all process/procedure knowledge and actions falls with department standards
• Maintains professional and positive team relationships and work environment
• Displays willingness and ability to engage in a team approach and professional manner at all times
