Job summary

Brunswick Physical Therapy, powered by Arete Health, is seeking a Patient Experience Coordinator for the Christenbury location in North Carolina. You will greet patients, coordinate appointments, and support the front office to ensure smooth scheduling and collections.

You will verify insurance, discuss financial responsibilities, and collaborate with the Clinic Director to maintain full schedules and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.
• Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail.
• Comfort discussing financial responsibilities and collecting patient payments.
• Strong computer proficiency and experience using an EMR/EHR system.
• Ability to work toward measurable performance goals and contribute to clinic success.
• Previous healthcare front-office, patient coordination, or outpatient therapy experience (preferred).
• Familiarity with insurance verification and patient collections (preferred).
• Experience with Prompt EMR or similar healthcare platform (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and visitors, creating a warm, professional, and positive experience from the moment they walk through the door.
• Coordinate appointments, rescheduling, and proactive patient outreach to help patients stay consistent with their prescribed treatment plans.
• Verify insurance benefits, communicate patient financial responsibilities, and collect copays, deductibles, and outstanding balances.
• Follow up on patient balances through phone, text, and email with professionalism and empathy.
• Partner with the Clinic Director and therapists to maintain full schedules and support patients in completing their plans of care.
• Maintain accurate patient information in the EHR and scheduling systems to support smooth daily clinic operations.
