Job summary

AEG Vision in Colorado Springs seeks a Patient Care Coordinator to manage front desk operations, support patient flow, and coordinate across the care team to deliver seamless visits.

You will greet patients, handle inquiries, schedule appointments, verify insurance, maintain EMR accuracy, and support billing processes, all while upholding a patient-centered service philosophy. You will collaborate with the Practice Manager and Optometrist to ensure smooth transitions and outstanding care.

Qualifications

• Front desk operations experience or similar role.
• Ability to manage patient flow and schedule optimization.
• Proactive communication and issue resolution.
• Knowledge of insurance basics and patient demographics helpful.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and serve as primary contact in a friendly, professional manner.
• Answer calls and manage emails with timely responses.
• Schedule appointments and optimize provider schedules.
• Confirm appointments and remind patients to reduce no-shows.
• Verify insurance eligibility and enter demographics in EMR.
• Collect charges and update patient accounts in EMR.
• Support care transitions with clinical and optical teams.
