Job summary

Carolinas Center for Oral & Facial Surgery in West Columbia, SC seeks a Patient Experience Coordinator to serve as the primary contact for referrals and guide patients from start to finish. This full-time clerical role emphasizes exceptional patient service and accurate scheduling in a fast-paced dental surgery practice.

You will verify insurance, coordinate benefits, schedule procedures, answer inquiries, and work with staff to ensure a smooth patient journey from appointment to post-care

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and prior experience in a medical or dental office.
• Proven ability to access, input, and retrieve information using Microsoft Office products.
• Comfort with learning new software programs and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Exhibits outstanding customer service with the patient as a number one priority.
• Answers the telephone and directs inquiries or schedules appointments.
• Confirms patient appointments and provides pre-visit instructions.
• Contacts patients regarding benefits, co-pays and coverage information.
• Responds to third-party payers requests for information.
• Coordinates benefit verification or self-pay options for new patients.
• Coordinates with staff to verify referrals and radiography.
