Job summary

Ortho Rhode Island is seeking a Patient Support Representative to handle incoming calls, schedule appointments, process referrals, and manage consult requests across locations. You will register patients accurately and coordinate with the eligibility team on insurance requirements.

Strong communication, basic HIPAA knowledge, and proficiency with Microsoft Office are expected. Bilingual Spanish or Portuguese is a plus; experience with Centricity or similar EMRs is helpful.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
• Experience in a medical setting or patient service.
• Bilingual Spanish or Portuguese a plus.

Responsibilities

• Answer and triage incoming calls for multiple locations.
• Schedule appointments accurately and follow appointment protocols.
• Register patients and process referrals and consult requests.
• Coordinate with the eligibility team on insurance benefits and requirements.
• Use Centricity, SRS, Phoenix and AllMeds EMRs for scheduling.
• Other duties as assigned.
