Job summary

Spire Orthopedic Partners is seeking a part-time Front Desk Specialist for Ortho Rhode Island in Warwick, RI. The role emphasizes greeting patients, registration, insurance verification, referrals, and scheduling with a friendly, efficient approach.

Evening hours up to 11 PM and occasional Saturdays apply. Requires high school diploma, Microsoft Office skills, HIPAA knowledge, and good interpersonal abilities; bilingual Spanish or Portuguese is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of HIPAA Regulations.
• Medical Terminology.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner.
• Accurately and expeditiously register and update patients’ demographic information.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits and document appropriately.
• Obtain and document referrals.
• Ability to triage patients and appropriately schedule them.
• Notify patients of and collect copays and past due balances.
• Check out procedures including scheduling future appointments and outside testing.
• Other duties as assigned.
