Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Typically 1 year of customer service or clerical/office experience.
• Ability to handle sensitive information and HIPAA-compliant practices.

Responsibilities

• Greets and checks in patients, ensures information is complete and accurate, collects patient responsibility.
• Complete registration on walk-ins, update demographic and insurance data as needed.
• Verify benefits, calculate patient responsibility, communicate payment expectations.
• Identify patients needing financial assistance and refer to Financial Advocate.
• Monitor patient flow, perform visit closure, collect additional patient responsibility.
• Schedule patient visits and assist with caregiver onboarding.
• Work EPIC queues and follow department workflow.
• Maintain professional relations with patients and staff; communicate improvement opportunities.
