Job summary

Johnson Memorial Hospital is seeking a part-time patient registrar to complete registrations and pre-registration processes, verify insurance, collect demographics and liability information, and work across multiple hospital systems.

You will follow a Mon-Fri day schedule, with orientation to start shortly after onboarding. This role includes per diem ED coverage and shift differentials where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• One year experience in a hospital or physician's office preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and interview/communication skills.
• Proficient with computer systems and devices.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurances.

Responsibilities

• Completes patient registrations and pre-registration processes.
• Verifies insurance requirements and understands benefits.
• Ensures accurate demographic, financial and consent entries.
• Collects non-covered fees as part of the admission process.
