Job summary

Children's Medical Center is seeking a full-time Quality Engagement Specialist to join our Patient-Centered Medical Home team. This role supports quality-improvement initiatives by engaging with patients and families, coordinating outreach, assisting with care-gap closure, and collaborating with clinical and administrative teams to improve health outcomes and the patient experience.

Qualifications

• Exemplifies excellent customer service, verbal communication, and respectful interactions with patients and families.
• Experience with patients and appointment scheduling in an electronic health record is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate notes and records.
• Excellent phone, spelling, grammar, computer, and keyboarding skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to patient-centered care with a team-based approach.
• Ability to work independently, be creative, and maintain attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple, simultaneous responsibilities and adapt to changing plans.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• Takes initiative to assist Receptionists and resolve problems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with QI team to establish quality standards and performance measures.
• Performs patient outreach to meet quality goals and complete recalls for appointments.
• Compiles data from multiple systems for analysis and strategic planning.
• Supports data review processes to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Creates data tools for recording objective assessments and performance management.
• Participates in Comprehensive Review Team for internal audit readiness.
• Attends other committee meetings to support quality initiatives.
• Records, evaluates, and reports quality data and reliability metrics.
