Job summary

University Hospitals in Cleveland seeks an Operations Support Ambassador to provide outstanding customer service to patients, visitors and staff while supporting the operational needs of the department. You will greet people, distribute visitor passes, perform Patient Experience rounds, assist with ED transport and Meds to Beds, handle specimen pickups, and ensure PHI compliance with UH policies.

Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Equivalent / GED required.
• 1+ years basic patient care or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors, patients and staff promptly and politely.
• Distribute visitor passes to approved visitors.
• Conduct Patient Experience rounds.
• Meet emergency helicopter medics at helipad for transport to ED.
• Transport expectant mothers to Labor and Delivery.
• Specimen pickup/drop-off in ED, inpatient and outpatient areas.
• Timely delivery of Meds to Beds prior to discharge from ED and inpatient areas.
• Provide patient transport assistance across departments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all policies and PHI requirements.
• Refer to orientation documentation for specific duties.
• Complete annual PHI training and UH policy adherence.
