Job summary

Nationwide Vision in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an Assistant Office Manager to lead a patient-focused office and support day-to-day operations. This role drives the Total Patient Experience and ensures smooth workflow while coordinating with physicians.

The ideal candidate will have prior medical office experience and a year of customer/patient-facing work; leadership is preferred. ABO/NCLE certifications are a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous medical office experience preferred; leadership experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year in a role interacting with customers/patients or equivalent.
• Background check as required by state.
• Proof of identity and right to work in the United States required.
• ABO and NCLE certifications preferred but not required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Execute the Total Patient Experience (TPE).
• Develop and maintain relationships with doctors associated with the location.
• Enforce corporate policies and procedures.
• Motivate and coach team members; communicate changes constructively.
• Assist with day-to-day office operations: monitor flow, inventory, and staff training.
• Support Office Manager in guiding the office to success.
• Answer team member and patient questions when the Office Manager is unavailable.
