Turnwell Mental Health Network is seeking a Patient Support Specialist to be the welcoming face at our clinics. You will manage front desk operations, handle check-ins, verify demographics and insurance, collect co-pays, and route calls.

This role supports patient experience and administrative accuracy, with cross-training in select clinical tasks to cover for staff shortages while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent; healthcare front desk experience preferred.
• Proficiency with EHR systems and standard office software.
• Strong communication, both verbal and written, with patient-centered approach.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy practices.

Mansioni

• Greet patients warmly and manage the check-in process with accuracy.
• Verify demographics, insurance details and required forms.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and send reminders via phone, text, or portal.
• Collect co-pays and patient payments at service time.
• Route calls and messages to appropriate team members promptly.
• Maintain organized front desk and patient-ready reception area.
• Assist with chart audits and maintain accurate EHR records.
• Support HIPAA-compliant exchange of information.
