Athletico Physical Therapy in Washington, DC is seeking a Patient Experience Coordinator to deliver a seamless front-office experience, including patient intake, insurance verification, and financial clearance. The role collaborates with clinical teams, supports revenue cycle performance, and uses EMR systems to maintain data integrity while ensuring HIPAA compliance and excellent patient interactions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Proficient with MS Office, Outlook and Excel.
• Knowledge of healthcare insurance benefits and coverage preferred.
• Experience with requesting and managing customer payments preferred.
• English literacy.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and deliver exceptional front-office experience.
• Complete patient intake and registration accurately.
• Educate patients on financial responsibilities and digital tools.
• Collect time-of-service payments and meet collection targets.
• Manage clinic scheduling workflows and optimize access.
• Use EMR systems and dashboards to track outcomes.
• Coordinate communication of patient progress notes to referral sources.
• Support engagement through patient milestones and community activities.
• Participate in training and cross-training.
