Job summary

Select Medical in Madison, IN is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to greet and register patients, schedule appointments and manage front desk operations. You’ll handle payments, insurance verifications, and communications with external offices, ensuring smooth visits and accurate records.

The role is full-time with a weekday schedule from 7:30am to 3:30pm, offering a starting compensation of $16 per hour based on experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 Year of Front Desk Experience
• Health Care Experience

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone
• Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders and business development team
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications
