Jax Spine & Pain Centers seeks a friendly Front Desk Representative to greet patients, manage check-in/out, and support daily front office operations in our Jacksonville clinic.

You will handle registrations, insurance verification, payments, EMR entries, and coordinate with clinicians to maintain smooth patient flow while upholding HIPAA and exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of customer service experience.
• Experience in a medical front desk/medical office is preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR software is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification, referrals, and patient registration.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a warm, courteous, professional manner.
• Answer calls, schedule appointments, and route messages.
• Check patients in/out, verify demographics, insurance, and registration.
• Collect co-pays, deductibles, and other payments; issue receipts.
• Maintain accurate patient records in the EMR system.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits; assist with referrals and authorizations.
• Respond to patient portal messages, emails, and inquiries.
• Coordinate with providers and staff to optimize patient flow.
• Maintain a clean, organized front desk and waiting area.
• Scan, file, fax, and upload documents; ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
