Job summary

Kessler Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to support front-office operations in Hawthorne/ Midland Park. The role handles patient scheduling, reception, and medical records while coordinating authorizations and deposits.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for excellent patient service. The position offers Monday–Friday shifts with hours 7:00am–8:00pm and a compensation range of $20–$24 per hour, depending on experience, plus a student debt

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Two years in medical office setting preferred for multi-tasking.
Knowledge of health insurance preferred.
Basic computer skills including keyboard familiarity and word processing required.
Customer service and interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with staff, patients and community.

Responsibilities

Ensures the highest level of customer service to patients, fellow employees, and referrals through front office coordination and admin duties.
Manages patient scheduling, reception duties, medical record preparation, and data collection.
Obtains and tracks authorizations and handles daily deposits for cash.
Maintains professional communication with staff and patients and supports clinic operations.
