Job summary

Spire Orthopedic Partners in Warwick, RI seeks an entry-level Front Desk Specialist to greet and register patients, check them out, and support daily clinical services. The role requires a friendly, efficient demeanor with strong accuracy in data entry.

Primary duties include verifying insurance, collecting copays, scheduling, and directing vendors. A High School diploma, Microsoft Office experience, HIPAA knowledge and medical terminology are essential; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience handling confidential information with discretion.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• Medical terminology knowledge.
• Bilingual Spanish or Portuguese a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients promptly and courteously.
• Register and update patients' demographics accurately.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits.
• Obtain and document referrals.
• Schedule appointments and triage patient flow.
• Collect copays and outstanding balances.
• Direct vendors and visitors as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
