Job summary

Open Door Community Health Centers in Crescent City, CA is seeking a Clinical Receptionist to warmly welcome patients, check them in, answer phones, schedule and coordinate appointments, and maintain accurate registration and billing information in EMR.

You will work with a team in a busy clinic, apply trauma-informed care, route inquiries to the right staff, and keep the waiting area safe and organized. Requires high school diploma or GED and 1–3 months of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and check in patients, greet visitors, and direct them to staff.
• Provide courteous assistance to patients in person and on the phone.
• Demonstrate Patient First behaviors reflecting quality customer service.
• Assist with scheduling, rescheduling, and coordinating appointments.
• Apply trauma-informed care and de-escalation techniques after training.
• Use triage tools to route patients to clinical staff.
• Maintain a clean waiting area and accurate records.
