Qualifications

• 2+ years of customer service experience.
• 1+ years of medical office experience preferred.
• Ability to learn Electronic Health Records and basic computer skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and families in a courteous, empathetic manner and assist with paperwork.
• Register patients, verify information, and complete required forms.
• Verify insurance and enter data into the EHR; assess household income for sliding fee.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate with providers and external entities.
• Maintain accurate patient records and prepare daily reports.
• Process payments, collect co-pays, and update promissory notes.
• Keep reception areas organized and maintain confidentiality per HIPAA.
