Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• At least three years’ experience in a health care business office setting.
• Must have 3 years of cash handling or payment posting experience.
• Experience working with electronic medical records preferred.
• Experience working with a diverse population.
• Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors.
• Schedule and confirm appointments.
• Maintain patient records and documentation.
• Process admissions and discharges.
• Enter data into the electronic health record.
• Verify insurance and collect payments as needed.
• Answer phones and route inquiries.
