Job summary

Lumexa Outpatient Imaging in Asheville, NC seeks a Patient Representative to support day-to-day administration at our outpatient radiology site. You will handle check-in, patient reception, registration, and scheduling while assisting with onboarding new staff.

You will be the first point of contact, ensuring a smooth patient experience, processing payments, and coordinating with clinical staff to maintain efficient office operations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience required
• 1+ years’ medical office experience preferred - Familiarity with outpatient clinical setting and patient registration workflows, familiarity with medical terminology
• High school diploma required

Responsibilities

• Handle patient reception and registration, including paperwork and updating demographic and insurance information
• Collect payments and set up payment plans as needed
• Answer and direct patient inquiries or complaints
• Schedule patient appointments and procedures
• Manage incoming calls and direct queries to appropriate staff
• Communicate with other team members to maintain clinic flow and efficiency
