Job summary

Lumexa Imaging's Asheville outpatient imaging center is seeking a Center Manager to oversee daily operations, patient flow, staff supervision and service quality. This role drives performance, schedules, and workflow improvements to deliver high-quality imaging services for our patients and referring physicians.

The Center Manager leads team meetings, handles staff development, monitors timecards, and ensures compliance with policies.

* This position is a working technologist who will scan as well as manage center operations *

Shift: Monday to Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm; no on-call; no weekends

Job Summary:

The Center Manager is accountable for delivering high-quality, efficient and effective services for our imaging patients and families in outpatient imaging center(s). Creates a positive and collaborative work environment while supervising the daily activities, patient flow, operations, clinical procedures, and performance of center staff. Participates in short-term and long-range planning and business development

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Conduct radiology imaging scans within registered modality
  • Ensures smooth daily operations by resolving performance issues and ensuring appropriate scheduling of center staff
  • Acts as point of escalation for concerns and challenges from patients and referring physicians
  • Performs clinical exams during staffing shortages as licenses allow
  • Develops and fosters referring physician relationships
  • Develops, reviews, and implements action plans based on financial reporting to enhance center performance
  • Attends training to stay up to date on best practices and protocols
  • Implements and manages the training and onboarding program for new associates
  • Participates in the staff planning and hiring process for new associates
  • Leads regular team and department meetings and employee one-on-ones
  • Monitors and approves timecards on a daily or weekly basis
  • Leads, initiates, and participates in annual performance evaluations, development and performance management of associates
  • Establishes associate schedules to provide for planned time off, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and adequate coverage
  • Evaluates, implements, and manages workflow and process improvements for the department
  • Ensures the department has knowledge of company and department policies and corresponding procedures are in place
  • Supports employees ensuring highest level of patient satisfaction
  • Develops methods for measuring and monitoring team and department performance
Qualifications:
  • Advanced ARRT certification in CT or MRI preferred
  • Graduate of 24-month AMA approved School of Radiology Technology
  • Work experience in an advanced imaging modality such as MRI or CT
  • 2-3 years of previous people management experience preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office; including excel
  • BLS certification
  • Ability to take initiative to improve processes, think strategically and identify trends
  • Ability to provide open, honest feedback to improve decision making
  • Ability to influence across the organization and work effectively with all levels of management and staff
  • Ability to maintain and build constructive relationships that produce results
  • Ability to effectively supervise exempt and non-exempt staff
  • Ability to be flexible in schedule and adaptable to constant change
  • Ability to effectively handle details with accuracy
  • Ability to maintain regular attendance and on-time approval to work as scheduled
  • Ability to deliver high-quality customer service to internal and external customers by communicating with integrity and compassion
