Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to manage front desk operations, patient flow, and schedule optimization. You will coordinate across care teams to ensure a seamless patient experience from arrival to departure.

The role emphasizes proactive communication, appointment confirmations, insurance verification, and accurate EMR data entry in a fast-paced optical/eye care environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer literacy; ability to learn EMR and practice management systems.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) focused on patient-centered service.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and serve as the primary contact for patient interactions.
• Schedule appointments and optimize provider calendars; manage cancellations and same-day fill opportunities.
• Verify insurance eligibility and patient demographics in EMR; maintain complete information.
• Collect charges, co-pays, and payments; monitor accounts and assist with claim submission.
• Coordinate with clinical and optical teams for smooth patient transitions and care continuity.
• Support recall, follow-up, and annual/medically necessary appointments.
