CLS Health in Houston, TX is seeking a Patient Service Representative I to be the first point of contact for patients, handling check-in, verifying information, and collecting co-pays. You will maintain accurate records, support referrals, and coordinate administrative tasks with attention to detail and strong communication.

This role requires a high school diploma and experience in a medical office or customer service; proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with insurance billing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Experience in a medical office or customer service environment is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy is important.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance billing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and welcoming manner.
• Verify patient information, including insurance coverage and personal information.
• Collect co-pays and other fees from patients at the time of service.
• Ensure the referrals are in the patient's chart before the patient comes in.
• Maintain patient records and ensure that they are accurate and up to date.
• Count cash box and complete cash reconciliation forms; sign off on EBO report and cash reconciliation.
• Handle patient complaints and resolve issues in a professional manner.
• Perform other administrative tasks as needed.
