Job summary

Neuhaus Foot and Ankle in Nashville area is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to join the Patient Experience Team. You will assist the doctor, prepare patients for exams and minor procedures, and create a welcoming, efficient reception area.

The role emphasizes strong communication, multitasking, professional demeanor, and compassionate service; 1 year of medical reception or high-volume customer service is preferred. Day shifts from Monday to Friday, with no weekends.

Qualifications

1 year experience in a medical reception role or high-volume customer service preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail in a busy clinic.

Responsibilities

Create a welcoming environment for patients and ensure they feel confident in the care provided.
Check patients in and enter demographic information into the electronic health record.
Learn basic insurance coverage information and estimate costs using software.
Explain insurance coverage and estimated out-of-pocket costs for care.
Take payments for patient balances and/or cost of visit.
Schedule patients for return appointments.
Make outbound calls for follow-up during slower clinic times with a professional tone.
Complete data entry and patient check in/out accurately and efficiently.
Communicate with and build strong working relationships with team members.
Perform miscellaneous office duties and projects as assigned.
