Job summary

United Health Centers of the San Joaquin Valley is seeking front office Medical Receptionists to join our state-of-the-art health centers. You will be the first point of contact for patients, assisting with check-in and guiding through appointments with care and professionalism.

Responsibilities include clerical tasks, data entry, ensuring smooth patient flow, and supporting clinic staff. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; strong customer service and multi-tasking skills needed.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED is required.
• Completed training program in Medical Office Assisting from Accredited College, preferred.
• 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferred.
• Possess a valid Driver’s license.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred but not required.
• Able to quickly build and maintain rapport with patients and providers; team player.
• Customer-service oriented.
• Familiar with office procedures and general training techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt clerical support; promotes smooth patient flow; collects and records data accurately; maintains order of the front office, equipment and supplies.
• Helps ensure patients receive care when they need it; supports mission to provide healthcare access to the community.
• Communicates openly with supervisor and staff.
• Works flexible/extended hours when necessary.
• Participates in health center in-services and meetings; respects others’ ideas.
• Adheres to confidentiality rules.
