Job summary

Brooks Rehabilitation is seeking a Patient Service Representative for our Jacksonville outpatient clinics. The role involves greeting patients, scheduling therapy visits, verifying insurance, and processing registrations.

You will support daily operations, help maintain records, and assist with billing inquiries. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of customer service experience, strong communication skills, and a calm demeanor in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of customer service experience required; healthcare experience preferred.
• Medical terminology is a plus; basic insurance knowledge helpful.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, phone etiquette, and in-person interactions.
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced setting and maintain composure with patients.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors upon arrival.
• Schedule and reschedule therapy appointments; manage waitlist.
• Verify referrals and insurance information; liaise with CIU for urgent verifications.
• Prepare registration packets and ensure paperwork is uploaded correctly.
• Handle deposits, collect patient payments, and balance cash drawer.
• Create and maintain daily, weekly, monthly reports as directed.
• Maintain clinic cleanliness and inventory; stock supplies and perform light cleaning.
• Act as clinic liaison with Business Office on billing issues with active accounts.
