Qualifications

• Knowledge of front office procedures and medical terminology.
• Excellent grammar and spelling skills.
• Knowledge in operation of medical office technology systems.
• Skill in greeting patients and answering the telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner.
• Ability to speak clearly and concisely.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner.
• Check-in patients, verify and update demographic and insurance information.
• Assist patients with ambulatory difficulties and follow scheduling policies.
• Register new patients and verify addresses, phone numbers, and insurance information.
• Answer telephone, screen calls, take messages, and convey information to appropriate parties.
• Maintain neat reception and work areas.
• Advise Practice Manager of problems and help with solutions.
• Attend educational and staff meetings as scheduled.
• Determine and input daily balance of charges and receipts.
