Job summary

Cardinal Health Fresno location is seeking a Patient Concierge to support practice operations by assisting patients with non-clinical tasks, such as lodging, transportation, and general customer service. Responsibilities include greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate demographic and insurance data, with emphasis on timely processing and adherence to policies.

The role requires 1–3 years of relevant experience, preferred medical office exposure, and being bilingual

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience; high school diploma or GED preferred.
• Medical office experience preferred.
• Spanish bilingual highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and families.
• Answer center telephones, distribute faxes, and prepare customer files.
• Schedule patient appointments.
• Receive and correctly record receipts of patient payments.
• Enter, verify and update patient demographic and insurance information.
• Obtain insurance verifications (VOB), pre-authorizations and pre-determinations.
• Process requests for records from outside sources.
• Scan data into document imaging software.
• Regular attendance and punctuality.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Ensures that all processing and reporting deadlines are consistently achieved.
• Perform any other functions as required by management.
