Precision Rehabilitation & Orthopedic Physical Therapy in Fresno, CA is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to greet patients, schedule initial evaluations and follow-up appointments, answer calls, and maintain front-office operations with accuracy and HIPAA compliance.

You will use EHR and scheduling software to ensure smooth daily workflows and accurate data entry. The role requires strong organization and a friendly, patient-centered approach, with bilingual English/Spanish being a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as Medical Receptionist or in healthcare.
• Basic computer skills in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not necessary.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and health insurance plans.
• Ability to multitask, strong organizational skills and time management.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and visitors in a friendly, professional manner and provide assistance as needed.
• Check in patients, verify insurance coverage and collect copayments as needed.
• Schedule follow-up appointments for patients.
• Distribute and collect medical forms and patient information packets and assist patients with forms.
• Document changes in the medical records when necessary to explain cancellations or changes in schedules.
• Answer incoming calls, transfer calls, take messages and provide information to callers.
• Update referring clinics and Workers Compensation carriers with progress reports.
• Maintain patient records with confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Other duties as assigned (training dept., ordering supplies, etc.).
