Job summary

Cardinal Health, Fresno, CA is seeking a Patient Concierge to support non-clinical tasks for patients, including greeting, scheduling, and processing payments. This role supports a medical practice operations team and ensures timely data entry, insurance verifications, and records processing.

Strong attendance and teamwork are essential. Ideal candidates will have 1–3 years of experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and Spanish language proficiency to assist a diverse patient population

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience preferred.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Medical Office experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and families.
• Answer center telephones, distribute faxes, and prepare customer files.
• Schedule patient appointments.
• Receive and correctly record receipts of patient payments.
• Enter, verify and update patient demographic and insurance information.
• Obtain insurance verifications (VOB), pre-authorizations and pre-determinations.
• Process requests for records from outside sources.
• Scan data into document imaging software.
• Regular attendance and punctuality.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Ensures that all processing and reporting deadlines are consistently achieved.
• Perform any other functions as required by management.
