Cardinal Health, through its Practice Operations Management, seeks a Patient Concierge at Fairbanks Urology in Fairbanks, AK. This front desk role greets patients, verifies demographics and insurance, answers phones, and schedules providers.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, familiarity with medical terminology, and at least one year of medical office experience, plus EMR proficiency. Strong attention to detail and timely attendance are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior medical office experience preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology preferred.
• Typing speed 40 wpm is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and families.
• Answer center telephones, distribute faxes, and prepare customer files.
• Schedule patient appointments.
• Receive and correctly record receipts of patient payments.
• Enter, verify and update patient demographic and insurance information.
• Obtain insurance verifications (VOB), pre-authorizations and pre-determinations.
• Process requests for records from outside sources.
• Scan data into document imaging software.
• Regular attendance and punctuality.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Ensures that all processing and reporting deadlines are consistently achieved.
• Perform any other functions as required by management.
