Cardinal Health is seeking a Patient Concierge at Fairbanks Urology in Fairbanks, AK. This full-time, in-person position greets patients, collects demographics and insurance details, answers phones, and schedules providers while handling payments and records with care.

The role requires strong customer service, basic typing, and familiarity with EMR systems, plus knowledge of medical terminology. A flexible schedule and reliable attendance are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• One year of medical office experience preferred.
• Experience accessing and updating an EMR system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and families.
• Answer center telephones, distribute faxes, and prepare customer files.
• Schedule patient appointments.
• Receive and correctly record receipts of patient payments.
• Enter, verify and update patient demographic and insurance information.
• Obtain insurance verifications (VOB), pre-authorizations and pre-determinations.
• Process requests for records from outside sources.
• Scan data into document imaging software.
• Regular attendance and punctuality.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Ensures that all processing and reporting deadlines are consistently achieved.
• Perform any other functions as required by management.
