Northwell is seeking a Lobby Services/Guest Services Associate to coordinate and enhance lobby operations, support patient and family presence, and facilitate smooth patient flow. You will work with clinical staff to keep patients informed, provide comfort items, and assist with non‑clinical inquiries in a fast-paced hospital environment.

The role emphasizes compassionate communication, cultural sensitivity, and proactive problem solving to improve the patient and family experience in the lobby

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience is required.

Responsabilités

• Proactively identifies operations needing improvement and collaborates with multiple support service departments to ensure optimal lobby operations and guest service activities.
• Monitors lobby amenities, functions and appearance.
• Provides sensitive, culturally diverse assistance to patients, families and visitors in stressful situations; escalates issues to appropriate departments and/or management.
• Responds quickly to patient or customer requests for non-clinical information.
• Monitors and assists discharged patients leaving the facility; ensures proper discharge procedures.
• Ensures availability of wheelchair services for patients and visitors.
• Reviews the daily surgery schedule and coordinates with the OR team to plan rounds for patients and families.
• Rounds on patients to provide updates and reassurance; supports waiting room and escorts.
