Job summary

Valley Health is seeking a Patient Service Representative to be the first point of contact in the physicians’ network. You will schedule outpatient visits, assist with registration and ensure accurate demographic and financial data in Epic.

You’ll greet patients, handle payments, and support the care team with timely information and smooth front-desk operations. You should have strong customer service, excellent communication, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Strong computer, customer service and communication skills required.
• Ability to prioritize work and handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Schedule outpatient appointments following clinic guidelines.
• Assist with registration ensuring demographic and insurance data is accurate in Epic.
• Greet patients and provide receptionist duties to ensure a positive first impression.
• Handle payments, explain charges, collect payments and balance cash drawer.
• Answer phones promptly with a courteous, professional greeting and take messages.
• Coordinate with HIM for medical records requests and releases.
