Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent is required.
• Minimum one year practice-based experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and presentation skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Engages patients in a polite, prompt, and compassionate manner during all practice-based patient interactions.
• Performs clerical service delivery functions with patients, including check-in, check-out, pre-registration and real-time eligibility verification, registration, MyChart education, appointment/testing scheduling at check-out, and address patient inquiries.
• Delivers waiting room concierge service and provides hands-on support to patients using the kiosk check-in process.
• Facilitates opening/closing procedures, maintenance of cleanliness, processing mail and deliveries, cash management and reconciliation, and prompt scanning/indexing incoming faxes.
• Supports other team members by addressing in-basket clerical pool messages and coordinating time-sensitive scheduling with Access Center.
• Maintains a solution-oriented mindset to tend to patient needs by partnering with other departments.
