Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Service Excellence Ambassador to deliver exceptional customer service to patients, families, visitors, and providers. The role focuses on visitation management, information gathering with confidentiality, and acting as a patient advocate while coordinating with hospital staff.

The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree and at least two years of consumer advocacy or service experience, with evening shifts and part-time hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; related fields accepted.
• Experience in consumer advocacy or service roles (min 2 years).
• Knowledge of conflict resolution, interpersonal communication, and diversity training.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and hospital operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage visitation and provide information about patient location and status while protecting confidentiality.
• Facilitate communication between patients, families, and hospital staff.
• Advocate for patients by investigating concerns and expediting admissions when needed.
• Resolve problems and escalate issues as appropriate.
• Greet, direct, escort visitors and assist with wheelchairs as needed.
• Answer multi-line phone and transfer calls to appropriate locations.
• Oversee information desks and lobbies to maintain cleanliness and order.
