Job summary

The University of Minnesota Health Clinics and Surgery Center (CSC) seeks a clinic coordinator to warmly welcome patients at check-in, assist with directing them to the appropriate waiting area, and support efficient check-out processes.

You will coordinate follow-up appointments, communicate with care teams, and ensure patients receive timely care while maintaining a courteous, patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

• Combination Education & Experience as described in the posting.
• Basic medical terminology and keyboarding proficiency.
• 1 year of customer service experience with the public.

Responsibilities

• Greets and welcomes patients and families at check-in for an excellent experience.
• Assists patients to waiting areas after intake.
• Prioritizes competing needs while maintaining a friendly demeanor.
• Monitors Care Connect and communicates delays to patients and care teams.
• Collects patient co-payments and ensures interpreter services when needed.
• Coordinates follow-up appointments and rescheduling with providers.
