Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Service Excellence Ambassador to provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, visitors and physicians. You will collect and relay information about patient location and progress while maintaining confidentiality and supporting staff as a patient advocate.

The role emphasizes communication across teams, resolving issues, and meeting visitors' needs while upholding safety, quality and efficiency in a high reliability healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience in a consumer advocacy or service role.
• Knowledge of conflict resolution and interpersonal communication.
• Experience working in health care-related environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and provide directions; collect and convey information while maintaining confidentiality.
• Communicate between patient, family and hospital staff to coordinate care.
• Act as patient advocate by investigating concerns and expediting admissions or other delays.
• Resolve problems and escalate issues as needed.
• Assist with special needs and escorting visitors or patients as required.
• Answer multi-line phone calls and direct to appropriate location.
