Job summary

OhioHealth in Columbus is seeking a Service Excellence Ambassador to provide exceptional patient and visitor service, gather location and treatment information, and support communication between patients, families, and hospital staff.

You will advocate for patients, help expedite admissions, address concerns, greet and guide visitors, assist with wheelchairs, answer phones, and help maintain welcoming lobbies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Two years of experience in a consumer advocacy or service role.
• Knowledge of conflict resolution, interpersonal communication, win-win negotiations, medical terminology and hospital operations.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist visitors, and provide directions to patients, families and visitors.
• Communicate between patient, family and hospital staff.
• Act as advocate by investigating and expediting admission and other delays.
• Resolve problems and escalate complaints when necessary.
• Respond to special needs and ensure their requirements are met.
• Answer multi-line phone and transfer callers to the appropriate room or location.
• Oversee information desks and lobbies for cleanliness and order.
