Job summary

OhioHealth in Kenton, OH is seeking a Service Excellence Ambassador to provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, visitors and physicians. The ambassador will share information about patient location, condition and treatment progress while protecting confidentiality and acting as a liaison with hospital staff.

Responsibilities include greeting visitors, directing guests, assisting with wheelchairs, answering multi-line phones, and helping with lobby and information desk

Qualifications

• High School or GED (Required).
• Minimum two years of experience in a consumer advocacy or service role.
• Knowledge of conflict resolution, interpersonal communication, win-win negotiations, medical terminology, diversity training and hospital operations.

Responsibilities

• Providing information to visitors and patients regarding location, condition, and treatment progress while maintaining confidentiality.
• Communicating between patient, family and hospital staff.
• Advocating by investigating and expediting admission and other delays.
• Resolving problems and complaints and escalating when necessary.
• Responding to special needs and ensuring those needs are met.
• Greeting and guiding visitors and escorting patients, assisting with wheelchairs as needed.
• Answering multi-line phone and transferring callers to appropriate rooms or locations.
• Overseeing information desks and lobbies to maintain cleanliness and order.
